Mint chaas

Uber refreshing and super easy to make, this yoghurt-based drink is a must-have to beat the summer heat!



  • Fresh mint leaves: 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh yoghurt: 1/2 cup
  • Water: 1/2 cup
  • Asafoetida: a pinch (optional: this is a good ingredient for digestion)
  • Chaat masala: 1 tsp (alternative: rock salt, to taste)
  • Cumin powder: 1 tsp


  • Blitz all ingredients for about 30 seconds, till you get a uniform consistency
  • Pour into a glass and add ice, if desired
  • Serve immediately


  • Strain the chaas before consuming, if you do not want mint particles to float in your drink
  • You can also add a small green chilli before blending, for a spicy kick
